Action against Hunger statement about the current situation in Ukraine

Action contre la Faim is highly concerned by the current situation in Ukraine and alerts on the impacts of the conflict will have on the population, especially in terms of access to health, shelter, water, hygiene, sanitation and food security.

Action contre la Faim recalls that the situation along the line of contact between Dombass region and governemental controlled areas were already dire for civilians with 1.5 million people in need.

Action contre la Faim calls on immediate cessation of hostilities and ask all parties to the conflict to fulfil their obligations under International humanitarian law to protect civilians from both direct and indirect impact of hostilities.
