  • Côte-d'Or, Dijon and Talant

As part of the Alimenterre Festival, our volunteer delegation in Côte-d'Or invites you to join us for a special evening dedicated to the right to food. The programme features two film screenings followed by discussions, taking place on the same evening in the Dijon metropolitan area. Together, we will explore the challenges of food insecurity and collectively reflect on possible solutions.

Our volunteers are mobilising as part of the Alimenterre Festival by organising an evening centred on two film screenings and discussions about the right to food.

Two successive discussion sessions will be held across the Dijon metropolitan area and facilitated by members of our Mission France team, based on the short documentary Turning the Table (Renverser la table). The film was produced as part of a joint project between Action contre la Faim and Secours Catholique to give a voice to people experiencing food insecurity and to encourage dialogue about our food environment.

Evening Programme

6:00 pm to 7:30 pm – Sciences Po Dijon
Screening of the short film followed by a discussion with participants, facilitated by our Mission France team.

8:00 pm to 9:30 pm – Talant
A second screening and discussion session will continue the conversation with a new audience.

A Film That Challenges Our Food System

Directed by Ninon Lacroix, the short film Turning the Table (Renverser la table) sheds light on the realities faced by people struggling to access nutritious, quality food. Through personal testimonies and everyday experiences, the film explores the connections between food insecurity, food environments and social justice.

The film also serves as a starting point for collective reflection on the solutions needed to ensure the right to dignified food for everyone.

Whether you are a student, an engaged citizen, or simply curious to learn more about the challenges surrounding the right to food, we look forward to welcoming you to this evening of discussion and collective reflection.
