An Evening to Discuss the Right to Food

Our volunteers are organizing a film screening and discussion at the Espace Martin Luther King in Montpellier on Thursday, 17 December, starting at 6:30 p.m. (time to be confirmed).

Hosted by members of Action Against Hunger, the event will feature a screening of the short documentary Turning the Tables, produced as part of a joint project led by Action Against Hunger and Secours Catholique.

The evening will provide an opportunity to engage with the public on the realities of food insecurity in France, the barriers to accessing quality food, and the solutions that can be implemented to guarantee the right to food.

A Film That Gives a Voice to Those Most Affected

Directed by Ninon Lacroix, the short film Turning the Tables highlights the experiences of people facing difficulties in accessing quality food. Through their testimonies, the film explores the links between food insecurity, food environments, and social justice.

As both an awareness-raising and discussion tool, it encourages everyone to reflect on our food system and on the collective actions needed to build a fairer and more accessible food system.
