The Race Against Hunger
A sports and solidarity challenge that mobilizes thousands of students each year to fight global hunger with Action contre la Faim.
The biggest school charity event to fight against hunger!
Every year, over 260,000 supportive students, 1,200 committed schools, and nearly 3 millions euros are raised to fight hunger.
- An all-in-one project, free of charge and accessible to all schools.
- Personalized support throughout the project from the Action against Hunger Youth Project Manager in your region.
- Educational resources to raise students’ awareness about global hunger.
- A charity run to raise funds and take concrete action.
1. Registration:
Fill out the form and receive the materials and resources needed to organize your project (educational resources, awareness materials, posters, bibs, etc.).
2. Awarenes-raising:
A member of Action against Hunger comes to your school to discuss the issue of hunger with students, using the example of a specific country and testimonies from its people. In 2026, the funds raised will be used to finance our programs in the Central African Republic.
3. Finding Sponsors:
After the session, students take action by raising awareness among their friends and family and inviting them to sponsor their race. Each sponsor commits to donating for each lap completed by the student during the race.
4. Charity Run:
On the big day, students participate in a fun and festive sporting event, organized according to each school’s capabilities. The more they run, the more they help!
5. Collecting Donations:
After the run, every student collects donations from his sponsors according to the number of laps completed. The funds are then gathered by the school and sent to Action against Hunger to support its initiatives.
