Airbus Foundation
The Airbus Foundation, a key and recognised partner of the humanitarian community in the field of emergency response, has been supporting Action Against Hunger’s emergency teams for many years. To this end, it draws on the aerospace sector’s products, expertise, knowledge and funding to support global humanitarian and environmental programmes.

The Foundation’s support for our operations includes, in particular:
- Air transport using test aircraft and chartered aircraft for emergency rescue flights.
- Helicopter transport provided by Airbus operators and via our network of partner operators for locating access routes, assessing operation sites and carrying out rescue flights following natural disasters. In the very first hours of a crisis, helicopters can enable a rapid response and thus make a huge difference.
- The Airbus Foundation provides access to very high-resolution satellite imagery to support assessment in the event of natural disasters and major crises worldwide. Using satellite imagery and its analysis, our teams are able to map hard-to-reach areas, assess the severity of the damage and coordinate actions, both on the ground and in the air.
- Training teams in leadership and satellite imagery analysis to strengthen our capabilities and expertise.
Action Against Hunger and the Airbus Foundation thus work in a highly complementary manner across all aspects of humanitarian response.
Since 2021, the Airbus Foundation has also been the main partner of our charity sports event ‘Connected Against Hunger’. As a result, nearly 10,000 Airbus employees worldwide are being made aware of our mission and are competing in team sports challenges over a four-week period to support Action Against Hunger’s projects.
