City of Paris

As part of its ambitious international solidarity policy, the City of Paris has, since 2005, prioritised efforts to ensure access to drinking water, sanitation, energy and more sustainable waste management in developing countries. To date, the City of Paris has supported more than 140 projects in 50 countries. Access to essential services helps to build a fairer and more sustainable world.

As a long-standing partner since 2006, the City of Paris works alongside Action Against Hunger on development projects. For example, since 2022, in Nepal, it has been working to improve access to water in six villages in the upper basin of the Trishuli River.

Since 2014, the City of Paris has also supported Action Against Hunger in responding to humanitarian emergencies, such as in 2026 in Chad, where they worked together to assist refugee populations by providing access to drinking water.
