CIC has been a partner of Action Against Hunger since 2010 through the “Livret d’Épargne pour les Autres” (LEA) (Savings Account for Others). In 2025, more than €210,000 was donated to Action Against Hunger by CIC customers.  CIC’s “Savings Account for Others” allows customers to donate 50 per cent, 75 per cent or 100 per cent of the interest received at the end of the calendar year to Action Against Hunger to help people in need.  

To encourage solidarity-based saving, the interest rate on the “Savings Account for Others” has been boosted since 2024 thanks to the “Societal dividend”.

CIC’s “Savings Account for Others” has been awarded the Finansol label. This label, awarded by a committee of independent experts from civil society, ensures that the savings contribute to the funding of nonprofit organizations that help to develop the local economy.

CIC customers can also support Action Against Hunger whilst shopping using the “For Others” Classic Mastercard and Gold Mastercard. The cardholder sets a spending threshold (between 5 and 30 euros) above which a donation is made to Action Against Hunger. The “Carte pour les Autres” (Card for Others) automatically collects donations as the customer makes payments with their card. At the end of the year, the donations collected in this way are paid in full to Action Against Hunger.

The Filbanque app allows customers to track, month by month, the donations collected via their “Card for Others”. It also reminds them of the settings they have chosen for their card. It can be accessed via the “Bank cards” menu. Holders of the “Card for Others” can, via their CIC adviser, change the settings relating to their donations at any time.
