Committed since 1963 to addressing issues of access to healthcare and responding to health crises, the company supports initiatives aimed at strengthening health systems, particularly in the most vulnerable contexts.

In 2022, bioMérieux partnered with Action Against Hunger to address the consequences of the unprecedented floods that struck Pakistan, affecting millions of people and severely undermining access to healthcare, drinking water and food.

In 2025, bioMérieux also helped fund a PharmaBox, a mobile pharmacy created from a converted shipping container. This solution ensures the secure storage of medicines in complex humanitarian contexts, thanks to a solar-powered, self-contained system designed to withstand extreme weather conditions. The PharmaBox thus helps to sustainably improve access to healthcare for thousands of people, particularly children and pregnant women, in crisis-hit areas.

In this way, bioMérieux contributes to the response to humanitarian crises and to the development of practical solutions that improve access to healthcare for the most vulnerable populations.
