Using creativity to promote solidarity and the fight against hunger. This is the idea behind Operation Drawing Against Hunger for schools and their pupils. Even today, nearly 800 million people in the world are suffering from hunger. Hunger is a real scourge but it is not inevitable!
By participating in this solidarity activity, pupils can put their imagination and creativity to work for a noble cause. In addition to being aware of hunger-related issues around the world, students can take concrete action at their level.
A three-dimensional project at no cost to your institution:
An educational project
Using the tools provided by Action Against Hunger, including an educational film, you can educate your pupils about the problem of hunger in the world.
A creative project
Each pupil then decorates 4 large A5 postcards, suggesting 4 different themes to inspire pupils and fuel their imagination and creativity. The works can be shown at a solidarity stand on World Food Day on October 16th, World Children’s Day on November 20th, the end of year festivities, Mother’s Day in May (France), Father’s Day in June, the School Gala day or Open Days, for example.
A solidarity project
Parents then support their children’s solidarity gesture by buying the works, at a minimum price of 4 € (1 € per postcard). The funds raised during this solidarity sale will enable Action Against Hunger to continue its programs to fight hunger across the world.
All donations collected must be centralised by the school and then sent to Action Against Hunger. You will receive the form explaining how to send in your donation when you register.
Would you like to participate in the activity? Register your institution using the form below. You will then receive all the material at the address of your school, sent by our partner Les Papeteries Pichon.
