HOW DOES IT WORK?
A three-dimensional project with no fees for your school.
AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
You will use the tools provided by Action contre la Faim, which include an educational film, to raise awareness of world hunger among your pupils. This year, they will find out about the day-to-day lives of families assisted by Action contre la Faim in Cameroon.
A CREATIVE PROJECT
We offer educational and artistic activities so that you can organise creative workshops linked to the film and the highlighted country, but you are welcome to come up with others. The pupils can use the postcards provided by Action contre la Faim or make the most of recycled materials!
This year, we are offering three workshops connected to Cameroon:
- Ndop, that’s top! Geometric patterns inspired by this traditional fabric.
- Drapo’nimo: Cameroonian wildlife in Cameroonian colors!
- The untameable lion: a wall decoration in the shape of a lion’s head (recycled art!).
There are other workshops on the subject of water, food and the environment.
A SOLIDARITY PROJECT
The pieces of art can be displayed at a charity exhibition to mark World Food Day (16 October), World Children’s Day (20 November), the winter holidays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, an end-of-year school party or an open day.
Families make a donation in exchange for 4 decorated postcards (minimum advised donation €4) to support their child’s hard work and commitment. The money raised during this charity exhibition will enable Action contre la Faim to carry on with its programmes that fight world hunger.
All of the donations collected must be centralised by the school, then sent to Action contre la Faim. You will receive the instructions for sending the collected money when you register.
