Conference 2025

Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of undernutrition

The sixth edition of the R4NUT Conference took place on 4 December 2025 at the Auditorium du Monde in Paris, bringing together a global community committed to advancing the fight against undernutrition.

Over 260 participants joined the event, including researchers, academics, humanitarian and development practitioners, donors, and government officials. Their engagement reflects a shared urgency: undernutrition is worsening, and evidence‑driven solutions are more vital than ever.

With major cuts in official development assistance (ODA) and escalating climate and environmental crises, vulnerable populations face increasing risks. Food, health, and social systems are under strain, calling for local, scalable, cost‑effective, and sustainable approaches. Frameworks such as One HealthandPlanetary Health offer powerful, multisectoral perspectives for improving nutritional outcomes.

In this context, the R4NUT Conference acts as a catalyst for collective reflection and innovation, providing a rare space to analyse new evidence and pinpoint actionable solutions to persistent knowledge gaps. By strengthening the connection between research and operational practice, R4NUT supports more effective, transformative responses to hunger.

At a time of rising needs and shrinking resources, R4NUT plays a critical role in driving evidence‑based action and reimagining how we address undernutrition worldwide.
