Provide your expertise
Providing support by sharing your expertise and putting your core business to work for Action contre la Faim is an equally impactful way of getting involved. Because you are at the heart of complex issues and have strong skills in a wide range of sectors, working together makes all the difference.
There are many possible types of cooperation. Working together on research, providing solutions through innovative products, optimising logistics… there are many sectors in which we are involved.
It is to optimise our supply chain in particular that we are working alongside the CMA-CGM Foundation.
In order to be as close as possible to the population, our health centres are sometimes located in areas that are difficult to access. To improve the management of pharmaceutical stocks in these difficult areas, the PharmaBox has been developed. This is a container transformed into a mobile pharmacy, giving us a large storage capacity for medicines at a controlled temperature, while at the same time being self-sufficient in clean energy thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels
Designed for rapid deployment, the PharmaBox can be set up in the immediate vicinity of Action contre la Faim sites. Like any other container, its great flexibility means that it can be set up and relocated quickly according to our needs or the evolution of crisis situations, thus contributing to immediate and effective medical support.
The Airbus Foundation is also an important ally for Action contre la Faim, which contributes its expertise through a number of coordinated actions, particularly during humanitarian emergencies:
- Air transport with test and charter aircraft for emergency relief flights and helicopter transport with Airbus operators for access scouting, assessment of intervention sites and rescue flights following natural disasters. In the very first hours of a crisis, helicopters can enable a rapid response and therefore make a very big difference.
- Sharing satellite images to support assessment in the event of natural disasters and major crises around the world. Thanks to satellite images and their analysis, our teams are able to map hard-to-reach areas, assess the severity of the damage and coordinate actions, both on the ground and in the air.
- Training teams in leadership and satellite imagery analysis to strengthen our capabilities and skills.
This is a concrete example of how the expertise and resources of an organisation can be made available to respond to needs and act quickly and effectively to help people affected by crises.
