‘JE DEJ, JE DONNE’ IS A RESTAURANT VOUCHER DONATION INITIATIVE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH Up COOP. IT IS AIMED AT ALL RESTAURANT VOUCHER HOLDERS (IN CARD OR PAPER FORM), WHETHER BUSINESSES OR INDIVIDUALS.
By donating your restaurant vouchers, you are helping us to fund our activities in the field. At Action contre la Faim, food sovereignty and security are at the heart of our concerns. For years now, Action contre la Faim’s programmes have included innovative activities such as agroecology, training in best agricultural practices, access to traditional seeds, development of market gardens, etc.
‘Je Dej, Je Donne’ is a simple initiative: all restaurant vouchers, whether on card or on paper, can be donated, whether they are UpCoop, Pluxee (previously Sodexo), Bimpli (previously Apetiz), Swile, Restoflash or Glady. As an Action contre la Faim partner for more than 15 years, UpCoop helps its customers and holders of its Up Déjeuner cheques or cards to take part in this act of solidarity.
Thanks to you, and despite the context of economic and social crisis, almost €670,000 was raised in 2023 to support our activity.
Action contre la Faim assigns 80% of ‘Je Dej, Je Donne’ donations to its priority needs and 20% to France Mission activities. This funding is crucial in order to ensure a fast, effective intervention in the event of an emergency, as was the case when conflict broke out in Ukraine. This money is also needed to maintain the France Mission launched in late 2019, which makes sure the most vulnerable populations have access to food and nutritional security, as well as to rights and services.
Action contre la Faim accepts all restaurant vouchers – Chèque Déjeuner, Ticket Restaurant, Pluxee, Bimpli (Apetiz), Swile, Restoflash and Glady – and turns them into donations.
Each year, some 700 million euros in restaurant vouchers is not used by voucher holders.* If these vouchers were donated to Action contre la Faim, this amount would pay for more than 15 million children to be treated for malnutrition as part of the association’s Nutrition and Health programmes. Let’s put restaurant vouchers to good use with ‘Je Dej, Je Donne’!
Every donation made to our association is eligible for tax relief of 75% of the amount of the donation, up to a maximum of €1000. You can donate your restaurant vouchers regardless of their format (paper or card).
Donating your paper restaurant vouchers (even ones from 2023) couldn’t be easier:
Paper restaurant vouchers from the previous year expire on 1 February, like every year, but Action contre la Faim can still collect and use them to fund its activities until 31 March! Even those who donate vouchers they can no longer use benefit from tax relief of 75% of the amount of the vouchers!
Do you have a restaurant voucher card? You can also donate your restaurant vouchers securely with your card. Go to our website to find out more!
March is an essential month in the restaurant voucher collection process, regardless of the voucher format, because it is when the cap is raised and holders of restaurant vouchers can donate them without a limit on the amount, unlike the rest of the year, when the ceiling is €25 per day for cards.
Businesses are encouraged to get employees involved in this solidarity initiative, perhaps by establishing collection goals over a certain period. The business can even contribute to employees’ donations. This initiative strengthens the idea of everyone participating, both employees and businesses! Order your digital and/or paper kit now on the website Je Dej Je Donne!
Thanks to you, since 2009, we have raised €8,165,177 in total.
This is the equivalent of 193,726 malnourished children being treated for an average period of 7 weeks.
