The Connected Challenge
Action contre la Faim is lauching its fifth connected sports challenge for companies around the world
A humanitarian experience in a sporting challenge: from 18 May to 12 June 2024, Action contre la Faim is launching the #ConnectedagainstHunger, a federative, digital and solidarity-based challenge. Companies from all over the world can sign up and help fight the climate crisis!
Floods, droughts, heatwaves and storms… In recent years, extreme weather events have intensified and worsened, having a major impact on food security and the livelihoods of millions of people. Today, nearly 733 million* men and women suffer from hunger, and the climate crisis is one of the main reasons for this.
What is the connected challenge?
Part sporting challenge, part role-playing game, #ConnectedagainstHunger allows employees to take on the role of a humanitarian specialising in environmental and climate issues at Action contre la Faim. To succeed in their mission and combat the effects of the climate crisis, participants will have to take up individual and team sporting challenges over the course of a month.
From 15 May, using the “Connected Against Hunger” application, available on the App Store or Play Store, participants will be able to take part in daily sporting challenges by walking, running, cycling or doing yoga. The kilometres covered each day will be recorded and added up in the application, allowing teams to challenge each other! The donations collected and sponsored by companies through these challenges will help fund Action contre la Faim’s activities.
A unifying challenge
It’s a turnkey concept that can be set up quickly and remotely. In teams of 8 to 10 people, participants take on common challenges, alone or as part of a team. Employees can share their successes, encourage and congratulate each other, and discover the publications of all the participants on the application’s news feed.

An international challenge
This new edition of #ConnectedAgainstHunger will be run by Action contre la Faim teams in France and Italy. Companies can mobilise their employees both nationally and internationally: the game is available worldwide and translated into 5 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian and German).
A challenge accessible to all
The experience will be open and accessible to everyone. Beginners and experienced sportsmen and women, as well as people who are unable to take part in physical activity or who have a disability, will be able to take part in adapted activities.
A carbon footprint report for businesses
By taking part in the event, company employees declare all their sports and travel activities. At the end of the event, each company will have a refined carbon footprint of its employees over the entire period of the event.
