Can I benefit from a tax deduction ?
If you are subject to income tax (IR), you are entitled to a tax deduction of 75% of the amount of your gifts up to €1,000, and 66% above that.
For example:
If you make a gift of €5,000:
| Tax deduction amount of 75% of the first €1,000 | €750 |
| Tax deduction amount of 66% of the remaining €4,000 | €2,640 |
| Total deduction | €3,390 |
The tax deduction is limited: it cannot exceed 20% of your taxable income.
A Foundation for better action
Created in 2013 under the aegis of the Institut de France, the Action contre la Faim Foundation for Research and Innovation aims to eradicate hunger by deepening our knowledge of the causes and treatment of undernutrition through scientific research. Authorized to receive gifts, it entitles you to a reduction in your Property wealth tax (IFI) of up to 75% of your gift.
However, the tax deduction cannot exceed 20% of taxable income. If the amount of the gift exceeds this limit, the excess is carried forward to the next 5 years, and entitles you to the tax reduction under the same conditions. If new gifts are made, the oldest surpluses are given priority.
Can I benefit from a deduction in my property wealth tax?
If the net taxable value of your property assets equals or exceeds €1,300,000, you are liable for the Property Wealth Tax (IFI). By making a donation to the Action contre la Faim Foundation, you can benefit from a tax reduction of 75% of the amount of your donation, up to a limit of €50,000 per year.
For example:
If you donate €10,000 :
