During the second half of 2021, the Presidency of the Council of the EU is held by the Slovenian Republic, who prioritized water in the EU’s external action.
Action Against Hunger welcomes this must needed focus on water: to achieve universal coverage by 2030 – i.e. reaching SDG 6, current rates of progress need to be quadrupled.
Action Against Hunger puts forth 12 key recommendations to influence the EU Council Conclusions. Those recommendations stem from ACF’s extensive field experience in WASH, and are illustrated by several case studies spanning the humanitarian-development nexus.
