JOINING ACTION AGAINST HUNGER MEANS BECOMING PART OF AN INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY NGO IN THE SERVICE OF A HUMANITARIAN AMBITION AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH ITS FOUNDING PRINCIPLES.
Action contre la Faim fights against the causes and consequences of hunger throughout the world. For more than 40 years, our humanitarian association has developed expertise in health and nutrition, access to water and sanitation, food security, mental health, advocacy, research and risk and disaster management.
Our aim is to eradicate hunger in the world. To achieve this, we are setting up a large number of projects that are as close as possible to vulnerable populations. Firstly, we respond to emergencies such as conflicts or natural disasters to guarantee access to basic needs such as water, food and healthcare. We then provide development aid by helping vulnerable populations to develop their food resources and income-generating activities so that they can become resilient and self-sufficient.
In this way, you can put your professional skills and your commitment to solidarity at the service of a humanitarian NGO recognised for its expertise and work in the fight against hunger.
Our organisation promotes non-discrimination, diversity and multi-culturalism. We are committed to integrating the gender approach into our missions and programmes. In particular, Action contre la Faim strives to promote gender parity in humanitarian work.
You will be joining an innovative humanitarian NGO that is committed to meeting the needs and empowering its staff, partners and the communities we serve. Find out more about our Safeguarding policy.
You will follow a path that will enable you to develop your technical and cross-disciplinary skills, thereby promoting your employability in the sector. Action contre la Faim is committed to recognising and rewarding the work, performance and motivation of its employees.
You will benefit from numerous opportunities for development and support for mobility in an international context.
Developed in 2010-2011, the New Deal model (Development, Empowerment, Accountability, Leadership) enables Action contre la Faim to ensure the organisation’s capacity to increase its impact and adapt to changes in the humanitarian environment.
More responsibilities and accountabilities are delegated closer to the point of programme implementation: strategic and programmatic choices, greater freedom in the choice of funding, the conclusion of partnerships or the composition of teams in the field, aimed at ensuring that decisions are taken by the right people at the right level, and that they are adapted to the local needs of the populations affected.
Action contre la Faim has drawn up a charter of principles that underpins its day-to-day work.
Our Charter of Collective Values unites all members of the workgroup, regardless of our place of work, profession or hierarchical level. It provides each employee with a common reference point for professional relations and the way in which we should work together and behave.
Our humanitarian association has 8990 employees in nearly 55 countries in a wide variety of professional sectors, including logistics, mission management, communication, marketing, human resources, finance, auditing, security, information systems, advocacy and others related to our areas of intervention (nutrition and health, water and sanitation, mental health and food security).
We are looking for candidates with a wide range of profiles throughout the year, both at our Paris head office and on our field assignments.
