Action Against Hunger is financed 69% by public subsidies and 23% by public fundraising. With subsidies from institutional donors amounting to €121.9 million, it is necessary to ensure that resources are properly allocated and budgets monitored.
As an employee of the Administrative and Financial Department, you will contribute to the management of the association’s accounting activity at headquarters to ensure the reliability of data, the security of cash flows and the efficiency of financial procedures.
Within the Financial Control unit, you ensure the transparent and efficient monitoring of the NGO’s activity. You are also in charge of developing tools for management and activity analysis.
Within the Accounting unit, you manage accounts payable, general payroll accounting and general accounting (fixed assets, stocks, expense accounts, etc.). You are also in charge of providing accounting documents for audits.
Within the International Accounting unit, you are in charge of supporting the consolidation of the accounting of both the Regions and the Action Against Hunger network, and the dissemination of the accounting framework.
The role of the Financial Tools and Methods unit is to provide training support in the development of ongoing projects at headquarters and in the training of financial employees in the field: development of e-learning courses and the facilitation of training sessions.
As an employee of the Operations Department, you ensure the coordination of financial resources in the field.
Your role in regional finance is to provide technical support to missions for the implementation of the financial strategy: annual budget monitoring and review, accounting verification, risk monitoring, proposal writing. You will work in close collaboration with the mission teams (Heads of Finance Department and Country Directors) and the headquarters teams (Finance and Audit, Risk and Compliance).
The Head of the Finance Department is responsible for the management and transparency of funds in compliance with the Action Against Hunger management framework and local legislation.
It is your responsibility to create and implement the budget: cost management and analysis, proposal writing to raise funds from donors.
You are in charge of the mission’s accounting: cash, treasury and bank account management, verification of analytical entries, transmission of audited accounts to headquarters for consolidation.
You are the manager of the accounting team: cashier, assistants, archivist, accountants and deputy.
