Action Against Hunger has set up a cross-functional department that brings together the units dedicated to the support and control of the organization’s various departments, in terms of audit, internal control, compliance and risk management.
The mandate of this department is to ensure the coordination of all Action Against Hunger’s risk management activities and contribute to defining an effective governance model to achieve the objectives and implement an integrated strategy for the control of major risks. s-cutting projects and decisions.
The activities related to risk management are divided into 4 main units:
Within Action Against Hunger, the internal audit unit is responsible for providing the organization with assurance on the degree of control of its operations while making recommendations to ensure the continuous improvement of internal control procedures. Within this unit, you will be responsible for managing the audit cycle, in compliance with current professional standards, both for the procedures set up in the field abroad and at headquarters.
The Risk Management unit is responsible for leading and coordinating the organization‘s overall management of major risks, both at headquarters and in all of our operating areas, by ensuring that the key steps in the overall process (identification, analysis, processing and follow-up) are respected and by promoting cultural change among stakeholders. As an essential element of internal control, you provide support in risk analysis by identifying, assessing and prioritizing risks related to the organization’s activities. You also participate in fraud prevention and control and contribute to the implementation of policies to protect the interests of the organization (Protection against acts of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA).
The coordination of public donor audits is responsible for ensuring the response to Action Against Hunger France’s contractual audits resulting from public funding received for our field programs. You also ensure the mobilization of internal and external stakeholders, in order to provide feedback on the elements necessary to carry out these audits. As a true expert in donor requirements, you will capitalize on the observations and areas for improvement in order to raise employee awareness of these issues and to develop procedures and practices to limit the risks for the organization.
The legal unit’s objective is to provide legal expertise and advice in order to ensure that the organization’s activities comply with current regulations and that the organization’s interests are protected in the eyes of its external partners and spokespersons. You also provide support in the prevention and resolution of disputes. You will also be in charge of securing Action Against Hunger’s practices and ensuring the monitoring of the legal and ethical risks associated with the association’s cross-cutting projects and decisions.
