The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged governments, health systems, the private sector, humanitarian actors and academic institutions to contain and prevent the continued spread of the virus. Therefore, the development and approval of several COVID-19 vaccines is a major global achievement.
Action contre la Faim works in 22 countries where vaccine availability and access to vaccination is highly variable, and in fact supports large-scale vaccination efforts against COVID-19. Action contre la Faim only supports vaccines that have been approved for use by the WHO.
It is important to clarify that Action contre la Faim will not require current Action contre la Faim employees to be vaccinated, nor will it be considered a prerequisite for employment with Action contre la Faim (i.e., there will be no requirement for SARS-Cov-2 vaccination).
Upon hire, all employees will be provided with information regarding the vaccine so that they can decide for themselves if they wish to be vaccinated.
Regardless of vaccination status, all employees are encouraged to continue to follow the current prevention and mitigation measures (physical separation, masks, hand washing, quarantine, etc.) as defined by the Covid-19 taskforce guidelines and/or implemented at the headquarters/mission level where they work
Action contre la Faim implements the necessary means to support access to vaccination for employees who wish to receive it
