From HQ to the field : the same combat

Be they employees at HQ or volunteers on mission, the staff of Action contre la Faim all support the same cause: fight against hunger. Professionalism and strong motivation for effective action are their common denominators.
 

Our teams in the field

 

  • Workforce: 288 volunteers on average over the year, supervising 3 282 local staff (recruited in accordance with local laws)
  • 55% men, 45% women
  • Average age : 30
  • Length of service : minimum one year (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • « Remunération »/allowances :

•    Volunteer expatriates receive an average allowance of 840 €, and their living expenses are catered for on mission.

•    Employee expatriates (heads of mission) receive a monthly net salary on a scale from 1067 € to 1524 €. Their living expenses are catered for.

  • Workforce: 139 employees at HQ at end December 2006

  • 37 % men, 63 % women
  • Average age: 33,65

Remuneration: average salary can rise to 2004 €. The net average of the 10 most senior employees is 3145 €. Employees receive no benefits in kind or any additional income.
On average, employees of humanitarian associations earn between 20% and 50% less than employees in the private sector.
The permanent team at HQ is supported by nearly twenty volunteers and trainees who also contribute towards the smooth running of the association.
