Scientific research

Committed to improving the quality of its technical interventions, involving the populations impacted by its programs, Action contre la Faim sees research as a key strategic area for the organization. Action contre la Faim develops operational research programs, which are managed by the headquarters and implemented in the field, in order to produce methods and tools to be used by the people in charge of the field operations.

The research programs are based on the needs of the field and the strategic priorities of the organization, and are conducted in close collaboration with international and national scientific organizations recognized in their field of expertise.

Today, ACF develops research programs in ACF’s different areas of expertise; improving the management of acute malnutrition and improving the response and preparedness to humanitarian emergencies are two key areas for ACF research.
ACF benefits from the support of an International Scientific Council, composed of international scientific experts, for the development of the policy, strategies and research areas of ACF.
