Description
We are looking for: A LOGISTICIAN
Country: Burma - Maungdaw, North Rakhine State
Length of Contract: 12 months from 2012, September the 15th
General objective: In charge of the management of all the logistics aspects of the North Rakhine bases: Maungdaw, Buthidaung
Responsibilities:
Management of the logistics of the base
Management of logistic HR
Organization, job description, recruitment, appraisal
Planning & optimal organization of teams
Trainings & Career Development
Draw Monthly action plan for key staff
Supply chain management
To follow the program procurement plan and prepare support department procurement plans
Supervise the supply chain: Procurement follow up (PFU); prepare and follow up order to capital.
To ensure that different department received information about the process of their orders
To elaborate a monthly purchase forecast
To supervise the procurements
To follow-up the stock management and ensure in time stock replenishment
To supervise the delivery to the field.
Equipment and fleet management
Anticipate the need of equipments for project
To supervise the allocation and the use of the equipments
To ensure installation, maintenance and repairing of the equipments
To update the base equipment list
Organization and planning of the fleet
Communication and IT management
To supervise and maintain the communication means.
To maintain all IT devices in collaboration with the base IT logistician.
To anticipate the needs for IT and communication equipment.
Rehabilitation and maintenance
To monitor the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of all the structures related to the functioning of the base
To improve the rehabilitation follow up and the feedback given to programs
Standardization of tools & procedure for rehabilitation
Monitoring and Reporting
Regular audit of the base process: analysis and action plan
To control the tracking system from the purchase up to the requester
Compilation of the monthly log support (PFU, SFU, fleet, equipment and narrative)
External reporting: Donor logistic reports in collaboration with the Admin Rakhine
Management of the security (delegation from Field Co)
Participate of the information collection and context analysis
To elaborate and submits the base security plan to the Field Coordinator & Logistics Coordinator for approval
To follow-up the implementation of the security rules and procedures on the base
Qualification and previous experience:
Successful experience of 2 years in Humanitarian Logistics field management on large projects
Experience in staff management, project follow up, security management
Team spirit and good communication qualities
Good general knowledge in IT, mechanic, supply chain
High sense of diplomacy with authorities
Status:
Volunteer status for applicants with less than 24 months of humanitarian experience
- Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable
- All expenses paid on the field: travel out/return, collective accommodation, meals and hygiene expenses
- €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account + Allowance of €200 per month paid on the mission
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month
- Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances
- Pre departure training of two weeks, at the HQ in Paris
Program Managers with at least 24 months of humanitarian experience, Coordinators and Heads of Mission
- Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French labour law.

Total average yearly gross income: from 39360 € to 43860 €
- Food and housing: 1000 € / month average
- Per Diem : 210 € / month average
- Support to the R & R costs : 110 € / month average
- Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460 € / month average
- Monthly gross salary ranging from 1500 € to 1875 € (Net: from 1380 € to 1725 €) depending on relevant experience (possibility to increase up to 2137 € gross (1966 € net) according to seniority and performances)
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of R & R per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission)
