We are looking for: A HEAD OF TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Length of Contract: 8 months
Responsibilities:
Design ACF technical country strategy for the WASH Department and contribute to its implementation in order to maximise ACF impact and address of the needs in the country.
Design ACF technical country strategy for the WASH Department
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
- strategy’s design, according to her/his analysis of the humanitarian context, and in collaboration with the team
- attention given to Technical Advisor’s alerts
- promotion of technical innovation through suggestions to/from Technical Advisor and PMs
Coordinate the technical strategy’s implementation for his/her Department
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
- new projects’ conception in collaboration with Program Managers and Field Coordinators
- writing of initial and final proposals
- efficiency of monitoring and evaluation systems and the proper handling of auditors’ requests
- quality of technical support given to Program Managers
Contribute to ACF technical expertise
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
- technical capitalization
- monitoring the implementation of new techniques
Human resources Management
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
- technical supervision of Program Managers in his/her Department
- capacity building of direct reports and Program Managers in his/her field especially through leading training sessions
- support and accompany the nationalisation process of the Wash HoD position.
- promoting the commitment to ACF Charter and prevention of frauds and power abuses
Qualification and previous experience:
Proven track record as a WASH adviser / HoD or consultant as well as substantial experience as project manager or implementer of WASH projects. Knowledge or experience in Myanmar/ South-East Asia is a clear advantage. Experience in training/coaching as well as in proposal writing is needed.
English fluent is required, French would be an asset.
