Country: Ethiopia – Dollo Ado

Length of Contract: 3 months, starting December the 10^th

General objective: To manage all the logistics aspects of the base in Dollo Ado and in the refugees camp and to supervise and support the national base logistician and team.

Responsibilities:

Train and build the capacity of the national logistic team

• Identify weakness and prepare a capacity building plan
• Train the logistic team in all the logistics procedures and their implementation
• Follow-up on the quality of the logistics work
• Make sure that the logistics team is able to prepare proper logistics documentation
• Organize training sessions in collaboration with the country logistics manager
• Support the base logistician on the preparation of the yearly appraisal interviews
• Provide technical support to the team if necessary

Supervise and support the base logistician in carrying out the following logistics activities:

• Supply line management
• Vehicle park and equipment management
• Restoration and maintenance management
• Security management
• Compilation and preparation of reports

Supervise and support the base logistician for the management of the logistic team by delegation

• Draw up a work plan and prepare a weekly task list to all the log team
• Delegate the activities and check that they are properly executed
• Organize training sessions
• Carry out of appraisal interviews
• Provide technical support to the team if necessary

Supervise and support the base logistician on representing ACF when liaising with partners:

• Represent ACF in absence of the Field co
• Coordinate security and logistics aspects with other partners

Qualification and previous experience:

- 2-3 years humanitarian experience in logistic

- Experience in refugee camp a plus

- Team management experience

- Capacity building and training experience

- Fluent in English

Status:

Volunteer status for applicants with less than 24 months of humanitarian experience

• Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable
• All expenses paid on the field: travel out/return, collective accommodation, meals and hygiene expenses
• €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account + Allowance of €200 per month paid on the mission
• Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
• Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month
• Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances
• Pre departure training of two weeks, at the HQ in Paris

Program Managers with at least 24 months of humanitarian experience, Coordinators and Heads of Mission

• Fixed-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French labour law.
• Total average yearly gross income: from 39360 € to 43860 €
  • Food and housing: 1000 € / month average
  • Per Diem : 210 € / month average
  • Support to the R & R costs : 110 € / month average
  • Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460 € / month average
  • Monthly gross salary ranging from 1500 € to 1875 € (Net: from 1380 € to 1725 €) depending on relevant experience (possibility to increase up to 2137 € gross (1966 € net) according to seniority and performances)
• 25 days of annual paid leaves
• 20 days of R & R per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission)
